Boris

The subject of a series of introspective, admiring poems--almost little Valentines--is Boris, a tough, grey cat who was adopted on a whim. After it didn`t take long for the half-dead mice to start swooning all over the patio, Boris`s former name, Hunter, began to make sense. Though worries about hunting eagles and roaming packs of dogs surfaced, Boris proved to be quite resilient, a born survivor. However, while he does get on with the family dogs and even mentors the kitten next door, Boris is also a wild thing, beating up cats, disappearing for days, and ransacking a house down the road. The many moods of Boris are fascinating, and there is a wealth of love for him at home, where he enjoys curling up on a footstool, watching videos of birds. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005.
